Itinerary
Day Day 1: Jaffa – Tel-Aviv – Netanya
Arrive at Ben Gurion Airport, where you will be met by our representative. Drive to the Ancient Sea Port of Jaffa, known to be the oldest seaport in the world. Continue through Tel Aviv and along the coast to the resort town of Netanya. Spend the rest of the day at leisure to unwind after your long flight. Time to relax and swim in the beautiful Mediterranean Sea. Check into the hotel for dinner and overnight
Day Day 2: Ceasaria – Muhraka – Akko
Start the morning with a delicious Israeli-style breakfast, after which you will drive along the coast to the ancient Roman city of Caesarea with its impressive excavations. Continue to Muhraka on Mount Carmel, where Elijah confronted the prophets of Baal (1 Kings: 18). Next, drive to Akko with its imposing extensive Crusader ruins, many khans, bazaars, and mosques. Return to hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day Day 3: Nazareth – Cana Tiberias
After breakfast, drive to the town of Nazareth, where Jesus grew to manhood. Visit the beautiful Churches and then proceed to Cana, the site of the first miracle where Jesus turned water into wine (John 2:1-11). Here it is possible to renew marriage vows in the Wedding Church. Continue to Tiberias, where you will check into your Kibbutz hotel on the shores of the Sea of Galilee and enjoy a swim in the Sea. Dinner and overnight Tiberias.
Day Day 4: Boat ride – Boat Museum – Tabgha – Capernaum
Start the day with another enjoyable breakfast. Then, take a Boat Ride on the Sea of Galilee. Time for prayer and reflection on the water. Visit the Boat Museum, where you can see the “Jesus Boat,” which was brought up from the bottom of the Sea of Galilee. Next, visit Tabgha, the site of the feeding of the multitudes, and then proceed to Capernaum, where Jesus preached in the Ancient Synagogue (Mark 1:20-22). Finally, return to your hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day Day 5: Mount of Beatitudes – Korazim – Yardenit
After breakfast, drive up to the Mount of Beatitudes, where Jesus preached the Sermon on the Mount (Luke 6:20-49). Continue on through the area and visit the Town of Korazin. Proceed to Yardenit traditional Baptism site on the Jordan River for Baptism. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day Day 6: Beit Alpha – Beit Shean – Belvoir
The day starts with breakfast and then a visit to the excavations of the beautiful mosaic floor of a 6th Century synagogue at Beit Alpha. Continue to Beit Shean to visit the extensive archaeological excavations and then proceed to the Crusader castle of Belvoir overlooking the Jordan Valley. Return to your hotel for time to enjoy a swim in the Sea of Galilee before dinner.
Day Day 7: Jordan Valley – Jericho – Jerusalem
After breakfast, travel along the Jordan Valley to the ancient city of Jericho. Enter Jericho, the first city conquered by Joshua in the Promised Land (Joshua 6:12-25), and view the Mount of Temptation and the Tel Jericho. Jericho is the oldest inhabited city in the world. Continue to Jerusalem and check into your hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day Day 8: Bethlehem – City of David
After the usual satisfying breakfast, drive to the city of Bethlehem to visit the Church of Nativity where Jesus was born and the Shepherds Fields, where the shepherds were tending their flocks when they heard a heavenly chorus and followed the Star to Bethlehem. Time for shopping in Bethlehem. Leave Bethlehem and drive back to Jerusalem to visit the City of David with the excavations of the original City of David outside the Walls of the Old City. Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem.
Day Day 9: Mount of Olives – Gethsemane – Church of All Nations – Old City
After breakfast, drive up the Mount of Olives for a magnificent view of the Old City of Jerusalem. Walk along the Palm Sunday Road to the Garden of Gethsemane. Visit the Church of All Nations. Enter the Old City of Jerusalem through the St. Stephens Gate and visit the Pools of Bethesda (John 5:1-3), where Jesus cured the Paralytic man. Visit the Church of St. Anne and begin your walk along the Way of the Cross (Via Dolorosa), starting from Lithstrotus (Judgment Hall), following all the Stations of the Cross. Visit the Western Wall. Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem.
Day Day 10: Qumran – Masada – Dead Sea
Enjoy breakfast and then visit Qumran, where the famous Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered. Continue to Masada and ascend by cable car to inspect the ruins of Herod’s palace and fortifications which later served the Zealots to resist the Romans. Descend by cable car and proceed to the Dead Sea to enjoy floating on the waters of the Dead Sea, which have outstanding healing powers. Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem.
Day Day 11: Jerusalem
Breakfast at your hotel in Jerusalem before visiting Yad Vashem Holocaust Memorial and Museum. Continue to the ancient village of Ein Karem, the Birthplace of John the Baptist. Visit the Church of St. Peter in Gallicantu, built on the side of the house of the High Priest Caiaphas. Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem.
Day Day 12: Jerusalem
After breakfast, enter the Old City and walk through the colorful bazaars, visit Mount Zion, the Hall of the Last Supper ( Matthew 26:17-30; Mark 14:12-25), and the tomb of King David. Continue to the Garden Tomb for Prayer and reflection. Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem.
Day Day 13: Departure
Transfer to the airport for departure.
