Itinerary

Day Day 1: Arrival

Upon arrival at Ben Gurion International airport, you will be met by our representative and transferred to your Tel Aviv Hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day Day 2: Haifa – Rosh Hanikra – Tzippori – Tiberias

After breakfast, we will travel north along the beautiful Mediterranean coast to the coastal city of Haifa, where we will drive up to the peak of Mount Carmel to enjoy a panoramic view of Haifa, including the magnificent Baha’i Shrine and stunning Persian Garden. Next, continue north via the ancient city of Acre to Rosh Hanikra, where you will have the opportunity to descend by cable car to visit the dazzling grottos and view the Lebanese border. Then motor down to Tzippori, the ancient capital of Galilee with the recent excavations and impressive mosaics. Finally, continue to Kibbutz Hotel or Tiberias for dinner and overnight.

Day Day 3: Nazareth – Upper Galilee – Golan Heights

After breakfast, travel to Nazareth and visit the impressive Church of the Annunciation and Mary’s Well. Continue through the Upper Galilee and ascend the scenic Golan Heights. Visit the former Syrian fortifications, Birkat Ram, and the Druze villages. Return via Banias, the source of the Jordan River. Drive to your hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day Day 4: Capernaum – Mount of Beatitudes – Beit Shean – Tel Aviv-Jaffa

Enjoy breakfast and then drive along the shores of the Sea of Galilee to Capernaum. Visit the ruins of the ancient synagogue, then on to the Mount of Beatitudes (Luke 6:20-49. Next, drive through the city of Tiberias. Continue to Beth Shean, visit the city & the excavations and then travel south through the Sharon Valley to Tel Aviv-Jaffa for a short city tour. Dinner and overnight in Tel Aviv.

Day Day 5: Beersheba – Masada Dead Sea – Jerusalem

After breakfast, leave Tel Aviv and drive via Ashdod and Ashkelon for a short visit to Beersheba, the capital of the Negev. Continue via Arad to the exciting fortress of Masada. Ascend by cable car to the fortress, which was the last stronghold of the Jewish Zealots in their war against the Romans. Visit the excavations, Herod’s palaces, the synagogue, bathhouse, etc. Enjoy the breathtaking view of the Roman camps and the Dead Sea. Descend by cable car and enjoy a unique “float” in the salty water of the Dead Sea. Proceed via Ein Gedi and Kalia to Jerusalem for dinner and overnight.

Day Day 6: Jerusalem

Start the day with breakfast and then enjoy sightseeing in the new city. Drive to Mount Scopus for a panoramic view of Jerusalem. On to the Garden of Gethsemane (Matthew 26:36-56) and Church of the Agony. Drive to Mount Zion for a visit to the tomb of King David, the Room of the Last Supper (Matthew 26:17-30; Mark 14:12-25), and Dormition Abbey. Continue Sightseeing in the new city, including the Israel Museum’s Shrine of the Book with the famous Dead Sea scrolls. Then visit the model of the Herodian city of Jerusalem dating back to the time of the Second Temple. Continue to visit Yad Vashem (the memorial to the six million Jews killed in the Holocaust). In the afternoon, drive to Ein Karem (the birthplace of John the Baptist) and return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day Day 7: Jerusalem Old City – Bethlehem

After breakfast, walk through one of the Gates to the ancient walled Old City: the renewed Jewish Quarter; the Western Wall, the Temple area; the colorful bazaars; Via Dolorosa – the Stations of the Cross and the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. Continue to Bethlehem to visit the Church of the Nativity and time for shopping in the famous olive-wood factories. Finally, return to Jerusalem for dinner and overnight.

Day Day 8: Departure

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport or continue for an extension tour to Jordan.
